Before we do, we would like to impart a quote from accomplished philosopher John Ruskin. “It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.”

If you won't settle for anything less than a high-end safe, this will be a short read for you. They simply do not offer it at all. If you want options like a biometric lock, gloss paint, plate steel door, and high fire rating (over 75 minutes), TC and Big Box does not have your safe. If none of that matters to you, read on.
- Expert sales staff. Nothing against the staff at your local TC or Big Box Store. They are our neighbors as well. However, if we look at it objectively, they sell everything from live animals to work boots. How much could they know about safes and, most importantly, how to help you select the right one for you? Our expert sales team sells only safes, all day, every day. They know what will fit where. They know what makes one safe better than another. They know what accessories are available, what they do for you, and how to install them properly.
- Selection. While TC and the Big Box Stores may appear to have a good selection, Blue Ridge Safe has the full line of Liberty and Nation Security safes on display. We also stock an excellent selection of Browning (Pro Steel) safes. Additionally, we have Business Safes, Office safes, and deposit safes. We also have accessories for these safes.
- We deliver and install. Does TC deliver? The short answer is "NO." Now, before you say, "Mine does." That may be true. However, that would be an outside contractor who may or may not be insured or competent in handling a 1000-pound safe. TC does not nor could they employ safe delivery experts. As we are sure you know, delivering a safe is not like delivering a couch or refrigerator. Lots of things can go wrong. It requires specialized equipment and techniques to safely maneuver a 1000-pound safe into your home without damaging the safe or your home.
- Quality? Far be it from us to cast shade upon anyone else's offerings. However, we feel it incumbent upon us to point out that what differentiates a good safe from a not-so-good safe is not visible. It's internal and, therefore, not visible. So if you were a Big Box executive and you knew your only advantage would have to be a price advantage, as you know you can't offer expert advice and expert delivery. Would you cheapen the internal parts you can't easily see and use your near-unlimited funds to incentivize a safe manufacturer to use inferior internals to position your product as the superior value? Of course you wouldn't.
